Stonesoft introduces new appliances with increased throughput and excellent price-performance ratio

Flexibility through modularity and Security Engine capabilities
Helsinki, Finland - February 5, 2013 - The network security company Stonesoft
today announced two new appliance models Stonesoft 1035 and 1065, offering
flexibility and increased throughput with an excellent price-performance-ratio.
The Stonesoft 1035 appliance from Stonesoft's best-selling 1000 series is an
entry-level, rack mountable model designed to meet the performance and
scalability needs of small businesses and remote offices. The 1035 provides
excellent flexibility, thanks to modularity and the full-scale Security Engine
capability, which has previously been available only in the larger models.
The Stonesoft 1065 appliance is designed to meet the performance and scalability
requirements of small data centers and medium-sized network central sites.
Both new appliances offer better port density, support for 10 Gigabit interfaces
and increased performance. Licensed with the Stonesoft Security Engine, both
appliances can be deployed for Firewall/VPN role (layer 3) for secure routing,
NAT, and IPsec VPN gateway purposes The appliances can also be used in the IPS
role (layer 2) in an IDS deployment or an Inline IPS deployment, or in the Layer
2 Firewall role, based on user preferences. . All of these use cases are
available with a single unified software image and adaptable to changes just by
re-configuration.

The Stonesoft 1035 is currently available for shipping.
The Stonesoft 1065 will be available in April 2013.
