Huawei Vows to Actively Reply to USITC Investigation

Feb 04, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. announced on February 2 that it was aware of the 337 investigation launched by the USITC (United States International Trade Commission) and would actively respond to the lawsuit.

"We believe the appeal of InterDigital is groundless and we will actively reply to the suit. Huawei has been respecting the intellectual property of others and is actively protecting its own intellectual property", said a responsible person at Huawei.

The USITC announced a plan recently to launch 337 investigation into 3G and 4G wireless equipments made by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, ZTE Corporation (SZSE: 000063 and SEHK: 0763) and Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK) in order to determine whether these products have infringed upon parents of American companies. This is the fourth 337 investigation into Chinese products launched by the U.S. since this year.
