Feb 01, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --
US wireless communication services company Verizon Wireless announced on Thursday the activation of new 4G LTE coverage on two sites in Ulster county, New York.
These new 4G LTE sites are located in Ellenville and Stone Ridge.
This activation expands and fills in coverage on the company's 4G data network it launched locally in December 2011.
Verizon said that two years after its launch, its 4G LTE network is available to over 273 million people across the US. The company's 4G LTE network offers 10 times faster than 3G networks.
Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) (Nasdaq:VZ) and Vodafone (LSE:VOD)(Nasdaq:VOD).
