BRIEF: Aloha Plaid Pantry robbed at gunpoint; detectives seek two suspects

Jan 30, 2013 (The Oregonian - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Washington County sheriff's detectives are seeking two suspects in an armed robbery early Wednesday morning at an Aloha Plaid Pantry.

Shortly before 3:45 a.m., deputies responded to the convenience store, located at 20925 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway, said Sgt. Bob Ray, a sheriff's office spokesman. When deputies arrived, the clerk told them two men entered the store and threatened him with a gun.

The clerk gave the men "a very small amount of money," and the two men ran from the location, Ray said. The employee was not injured.

Investigators obtained surveillance video from the store.

One of the suspects is described as about 25 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a blue shirt, black pants and white shoes.

The other suspect is also described as about 25 years old and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

The men, deputies think, fled in an older white, four-door sedan. The vehicle could possibly be a Honda, Ray said.

Detectives with the Washington County Violent Crimes Unit are investigating. Anyone with more information is asked to call sheriff's detectives at 503-846-2500.
