FIVE INGREDIENT COOKING: Let the Super Bowl begin


Jan 29, 2013 (The Destin Log - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Touchdown Taco Dip 1 (16 oz.) sour cream 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies 1/2 (4 oz.) can chopped black olives, drained 1 (1 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning Place the sour cream, Cheddar cheese, chopped green chilies, black olives, and taco seasoning into a bowl, and stir to combine. Serve with chips. Makes 10 servings.



Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings 2 1/2-3 lbs. uncooked chicken wings, cut in sections 1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup barbecue sauce Preheat oven to 350.

Place wings in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.


Combine sauces and honey and pour over the wings.

Bake for about an hour, or until juices run clear. Makes 4 servings.

Super Bowl Bites 1 lb. ground beef chuck 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise 1 (1 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix 24 (2-inch square) dinner rolls, split Preheat oven to 350.

In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix ground beef chuck, Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise and soup mix.

Spread even amounts of the ground beef onto the bottom half of each roll. Place top halves on, forming little sandwiches. If you purchased the rolls in aluminum foil pans, you may return them to the same pan for baking. Otherwise, place them on a baking sheet or baking pan. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

Five ingredients do not count salt, pepper, butter, oil and optional ingredients.
