Many believe that WebRTC is the watershed development that will help move videoconferencing from millions of endpoints to billions of endpoints. It is such an important development that we want our members and the rest of the videoconferencing community to know as much as possible and to be ready for the impact of this watershed technology. We have a responsibility to keep our members and the rest of the industry informed and educated on important topics such as WebRTC." VCIG Live! events follow a talk show format and this session will explore questions like why is WebRTC so important, how will it work, how will it impact my role, and how can I test and trial the capability The session will also address the impact of WebRTC on Unified Communications.

According to Todd Hughes, Vice President of VCI-Group, "the world is getting smaller, and WebRTC will make the world even closer. WebRTC; Real Time Communication between browsers, more specifically audio microphones and web cameras, will open up new possibilities to anyone with a PC, MAC, tablet, or mobile device. By browsers adding this standard, and often free, technology, it will create a world of interoperability and collaboration never seen before.
