Loop-IP6416 IP-IMUX for 3G Mobile Network

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 29 January 2013 Release date- 28012013 - The Loop-IP6416 IP Inverse Mux was recently adopted in a 3G network to transport IP traffic through a country-wide mobile network in Eastern Europe.

In this network, the Loop-IP6416 has its E1 traffic uplink to 3G mobile base stations. Ethernet traffic from the Loop-IP6416 MUX was communicated to the end users, or, in some cases, the electrical Ethernet was further converted to an optical Ethernet signal for selected end users with fiber connections.

This application will be used mostly for small offices in villages where the network infrastructure is not well developed.

The Loop-IP6416 offers up to 16 E1/T1 ports and has automatic E1/T1 channel failure detection that will be of help in reassigning the number of E1/T1 channels transporting Ethernet traffic. It also supports the IEEE 802.1q VLAN standard to separate different traffic flows for the remote sites.
