Chrysalis Software Achieves Key Environmental Milestone

CARMEL, CA, Jan 29, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Chrysalis Software, a leading provider of contact center professional services and products, today announced its certification as a Green Business by the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program and the State of California. To be certified "green," Chrysalis has demonstrated compliance with all regulations and program standards of a California Green Business.

The Green Business Certification Program is a multi-faceted (soil, water and air) pollution prevention effort designed to encourage businesses to meet and exceed environmental standards while conserving natural resources. The program focuses on how a facility conducts its day-to-day operations in terms of being environmentally aware, promoting energy efficiency and reducing any and all waste streams. Chrysalis Software is one of 87 computer, science and technology organizations that have been honored with this certification in California.

"Chrysalis is proud to be part of this partnership of environmental agencies and concerned businesses working together to promote the operation of companies in an environmentally friendly manner," says Debbie Diersch, President and CEO of Chrysalis Software. "During the next year, we have pledged to save over 2,827 gallons of water and divert 309 lbs of waste from the landfill by implementing changes outlined in our newly adopted Environmental Policy." To be certified "green," a company must be in compliance with all regulations and meet program standards for conserving resources, preventing pollution, and minimizing waste. Chrysalis is now part of a partnership of environmental agencies and concerned businesses working together to promote companies that operate in an environmentally friendly manner. By being certified, Chrysalis sets an example and encourages other businesses to conserve energy and water, minimize waste, prevent pollution, and shrink their carbon footprint.

"Monterey County's Environmental Health Bureau, Recycling Services administers the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program in Monterey County in partnership with the City of Monterey and other environmental organizations. We are proud of all our green businesses," says Gabby Carbajal, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Monterey County Health Department. "A certified green business demonstrates ongoing environmental compliance and voluntarily implements pollution prevention, recycling and solid waste reduction, and energy and water conservation practices in the workplace."
