BRIEF: Officials investigating body found in West OdessaJan 25, 2013 (Odessa American - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Ector County officials said they are currently investigating a body found in a vehicle out in West Odessa. Ector County Sheriff Mark Donaldson said a call came in around 1:30 p.m. Friday reporting a body was found in a vehicle off of Interstate 20 near Moss Avenue and FM 866. Donaldson said he was not yet sure if the body was a male or female. Chief Investigator Shirley Standefer with the Ector County Medical Examiner's Office said little was known around 3:30 p.m. but did say her office would be requesting an autopsy. Donaldson said the sheriff's office and the Texas Department of Public Safety officials were investigating the case.
