Belden to Demo End-to-End Connectivity Solutions at DistribuTECH

Belden Inc. (NYSE:BDC), a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, will be demonstrating its substation-hardened industrial Ethernet solutions for both power utilities and the substation automation manufacturers who support them at DistribuTECH 2013 in San Diego January 29-31. Among the features at the Belden booth (#3427) will be sample configurations of substation communications solutions using MPLS, cellular and Ethernet WAN solutions and demonstration of a new advanced router from Belden's GarrettCom (News - Alert) brand of substation-hardened communications products. DistribuTECH is the power transmission conference for electricity transmission and distribution professionals. Belden is the only supplier of end-to-end connectivity solutions to the power utility industry.

With products in 75 percent of the top 100 power utilities in North America, Belden has a powerful platform on which to expand in 2013. Substations are at the heart of the smart grid data collection and management activity. Solutions will be configured from a variety of products. On display will be GarrettCom's Magnum 10-series line of substation-hardened products and DX line of routers and terminal servers. Hirschmann products to be featured include Industrial Hi-Vision GUI-based network management software, the Eagle line of secure firewall products, BAT wireless access points and MIPP patch panels. Belden's Cat 5e and Cat 6 industrial Ethernet cable solutions will be on display as well.
