Demandware Enhances Leadership Team


BURLINGTON, Mass. --(Business Wire)--

Demandware®Inc., (NYSE: DWRE) a leader in on-demand ecommerce, today announced that Jeffrey Barnett, Executive Vice President of Field Operations has been named Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position at the company. Mr. Barnett will oversee the company's global sales, marketing and services organizations. As COO, Barnett will continue to report to Tom Ebling, Demandware's Chief Executive Officer. Demandware also announced the hiring of Rohit Goyal as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Steven Chung as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Mr. Goyal will be responsible for application development and feature delivery and will report to Mr. Ebling. Mr. Chung will be responsible for worldwide sales at Demandware and will report to Mr. Barnett. Tom Griffin was promoted to Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and will report to Mr. Ebling.

Barnett joined the company in 2005 as the EVP of Field Operations. Previously, Barnett served as Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa of Siebel Systems (News - Alert), Inc., a software company. Prior to joining Siebel, Mr. Barnett served as Managing Director, International Operations of Edocs, Inc., a billing, payment, and account management software company.


Mr. Goyal co-founded neoSaej in January 2007 and most recently served as Vice president of Engineering. Prior to neoSaej, Mr. Goyal was Director of Software at Enterasys Networks and held software engineering positions at Axiowave Networks, Lucent Technologies and Nexabit Networks.

Mr. Griffin joined Demandware in September of 2006 as Vice President of Business Development. Since 1999, Mr. Griffin has worked in the retail and multi-channel industries serving as Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Sterling Commerce (News - Alert) (now IBM) and Vice President of Business Development for Yantra, a multi-channel supply chain solution provider. Previously, Mr. Griffin held various Sales, Marketing, and Business Development positions with Siemens (News - Alert) Business Services.

Mr. Chung joins Demandware from MicroStrategy where he held the position of Vice President and General Manager since 2010. Previously, Mr. Chung served as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales at ENXSuite, which was acquired by INFOR and Senior Director of Sales at Symantec. Mr. Chung has also held various sales leadership positions at Oracle (News - Alert), Adexa, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting.
