TeleCommunication Systems Wins Order from Australian Defense Science and Technology Organization for Deployable VSAT Satellite Systems

Jan 22, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS), a provider of secure mobile communication technology, announced that it has received an order from the Australian Defense Science and Technology Organization (DSTO) for its Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite systems.

According to a release: -The DSTO is the Australian government's lead agency charged with applying science and technology to protect and defend Australia and its national interests and delivers impartial advice and solutions for defense and other elements of national security.

-TCS VSAT systems provide multimedia communications capabilities which convey encrypted voice, video and data.

-Highly transportable and ruggedized, TCS VSAT systems also have a graphical user interface that facilitates set-up and operation.

-The modularity and plug-and-play interfaces between all radio frequency (RF) and baseband configurations inherent to the product line result in communication solutions tailored to the end-user's specific needs.

Michael Bristol, SVP and general manager of government solutions for TCS, said, "The Australian Defense Science and Technology Organization recognizes the importance of secure, reliable and easily deployable satellite communications systems, such as our WGS-certified VSAT satellite systems. We look forward to helping them achieve mission success with this proven communications solution." More Information: telecomsys.com ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected]))
