RigNet appoints vice president of business servicesJan 21, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- RigNet, Inc., a provider of remote communication services to the oil and gas industry, has appointed Morten Hagland Hansen as vice president of business services. In his new role, Mr Hansen's primary responsibility will be to work across the sales, engineering, operations, products/solutions and marketing functions to ensure workflows as RigNet develops, provisions and supports remote communications solutions around the world. He previously served as vice president, global engineering and Operations. He has more than 15 years of experience in information technology and telecoms engineering, design and deployment. In addition, the company has appointed Boyd Skelton as director of products and solutions. Mr Skelton previously served as manager, planning and corporate development. He is now assuming a new role developing and managing products and solutions for RigNet's customers that meet their current and anticipated needs.
