MedeAnalytics Posts New Video in 'Two Minute Drill' Series

Jan 18, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- MedeAnalytics, a provider of healthcare performance management solutions, announced that it has posted a new video titled "Accountable Care Organizations: the State of the Union." The video summarizes the keynote presentation delivered by Ken Perez, MedeAnalytics' director of healthcare policy and senior vice president of marketing at Opal Events' conference, "ACOs Summit: A Transitional Model to Full Risk Care Management," held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Austin, Texas.

"ACOs are an inexorable part of the 'fee-for-value train' that has left the station—they're here to stay," Perez told the audience. "The future will look like a patchwork of multi-payer ACOs, involving both public and private payers. This allows the benefits and costs of the ACO to be spread across a broader population and, without cost shifting, helps reduce societal costs of healthcare, not just the costs for Medicare and Medicaid." Video Series Frames Issues, Focuses On Key Areas For Taking Action MedeAnalytics' "Two-Minute Drill" videos, supported by graphics illustrating key concepts, are designed to provide busy executives with useful insight into complicated issues. The video series is part of MedeAnalytics' continuing service to healthcare industry executives and policy professionals attempting to understand and plan for the impact of the myriad legislative requirements affecting healthcare. Videos in the series are supported by more detailed resources, including the MedeAnalytics Medicare Insight Resource Center.

"In two minutes or less, we're framing salient issues that could really impact healthcare organizations' bottom lines, and we do this in a way that orients viewers and helps them focus on key areas for taking action," said Perez.
