China to Have Over 200 In-orbit Spacecrafts by 2020Jan 17, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- In 2013, China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Corporation (CASC) will kick off the 16th aerospace launch, sending 20 spacecrafts to the universe, including the rendezvous and docking mission of Shenzhou X and Heavenly Palace 1 to further test the reliability of rendezvous and docking technology. Chang'e Thee will realize first soft landing on the moon for automatic survey. By 2020, China will have more than 200 in-orbit spacecrafts, accounting for 20% of the total worldwide, recording annual launch of 30 times, which takes up 30% of the world total. By then, China will complete the construction of global satellite navigation system and high-resolution earth observing system and form complete national space infrastructure and aerospace equipment system. Meanwhile, China will realize worldwide application of space infrastructure like communications satellites, satellite navigation and satellite remote sensing, gain over 15% revenue abroad and 25% operating revenue from aerospace and national defense service and have strong international competitiveness and say in the aerospace field.
