BRIEF: Free legal advice clinics in Boise start next monthJan 15, 2013 (The Idaho Statesman - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Lawyers and law students will provide free legal consultations to the public every month, starting with a session from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, at 715 S. Capitol Blvd., the main branch of the Boise Public Library. The free monthly walk-in clinics are provided by the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association with support from the University of Idaho and Concordia University law schools. The clinics will be held on the second Monday of each month, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Downtown library branch. The clinics are staffed by law students and volunteer supervising attorneys. Clients will be seen on a first-come first-served basis. "Our organization recognizes that the lack of affordable legal advice is a roadblock to Idahoans' ability to access justice," Erika Birch, a member of the association, said in a press release. "In many cases, people aren't able to navigate the court system without relying [on] legal advice.
