Significant Client and Operational Successes Put Workplace on Target for a Strong 2013

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) New York, NY (PRWEB) January 15, 2013 Workplace (http://www.workplacesystems.com) the leader in cloud-based workforce management solutions, is poised for significant success in 2013 following global revenue growth and key advances in 2012. These advances include appointments to its leadership team, opening new offices across the globe, a newly refreshed brand and website, the appointment of three non-executive directors to the Board, along with a number of other achievements throughout the year.

Britt Davies joined the business as global chief marketing officer in September 2012 with the key goals of increasing awareness of the Workplace brand in target markets, building a robust sales pipeline and increasing market share. Previously, Britt worked at Satmetrix, a cloud-based software solution provider for driving customer loyalty, where she was responsible for the strategy, leadership and management of field marketing globally. Steve Elsham was appointed as sales director UK and EMEA in May 2012 having previously held senior leadership positions at Oracle, SAP and SAS Institute, and will now be taking on the role of general manager EMEA with the key objective of driving revenue across the region. The Australian arm of Workplace continued to expand in 2012 with Brett Ashcroft being appointed as CEO. Brett brings 25 years of senior retail experience and is tasked to grow the Australian operation of Workplace, as well as supporting the expansion of the Asian arm of the business.

In July, Workplace strengthened its Board with the appointment of three key non-executive directors including Archie Norman, current chairman of ITV and retail adviser to the board of Wesfarmers, who helped build Kingfisher and formerly chief executive and chairman of Asda; Mark Wells, a non-executive director of Kofax Plc, Invu Plc and the former deputy chairman of CODA Plc, and Patrick De Smedt, the former vice president and chairman of Microsoft EMEA.

Workplace has also moved into new, bigger offices in key locations across the globe with the Sydney office opening in March 2012 and the Chicago office opening its doors in late December. Additionally, the Milton Keynes office in the UK is being refurbished to prepare for a productive 2013.

Workplace unveiled a cutting-edge new look for the brand at its Workforce Management Conference in September to customers, prospects and partners. The new-look brand reflects the company’s mission of implementing its cloud-based workforce management solutions quickly, which enables rapid speed to value for retailers.

The effectiveness of Workplace’s innovative implementation methodology and cloud-based software has been validated with new clients adding to the ranks of Workplace’s existing customers such as Coral, Rite Aid and World Kitchen, who have seen significant ROI in just weeks from their Workplace Online implementations. Additionally, H&M – another of Workplace’s clients – won a Retail Week Technology Award in June 2012 for its Workforce Management Rollout success.

Barney Quinn, CEO of Workplace, comments, “2012 has clearly been a successful year for Workplace in which we have recruited a host of new talent and expertise across the Board, leadership team and other functions within the business. It’s also been a successful year in terms of growing existing clients and winning new ones, both of which are driven by market success, validating the Workplace USP of speed to value. Workplace will be exhibiting at the National Retail Federation’s Big Show (booth #2738) in New York City and will be sharing exciting new developments that will continue to set us apart in the market as we move into 2013.” For more details on Workplace, please visit: http://www.workplacesystems.com.
