Arista Power receives order for Mobile Renewable Power Station

Jan 15, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Arista Power, Inc. has received an order for a Mobile Renewable Power Station, or MRPS, and extended support agreement from a US Government Agency.

The MRPS combines Arista Power's energy storage, power distribution and patent pending system controls and intelligence along with energy generation from solar PV to create a complete micro-grid perfectly suited for power at remote locations.

The system can be transported by commercial vehicles and is designed to replace diesel fuel generators for continuous operations. The system will be used to power communications equipment in a remote location where energy security and reliability is considered mission critical.

"Our system is a preferable alternative to using diesel generators in the field and not only results in fuel savings for the US government but also reduces the additional logistical cost required to provide fossil fuel to remote locations on a regular basis. We are excited about the field success of our MRPS and feel that recent orders for the MRPS, both of the commercial and government variety, validate that our systems are meeting the needs of our customers.

"Wherever there is a need for off grid power, such as remote locations or disaster recovery situations, we are seeing increasing interest in our Mobile Renewable Power Station - both in the commercial market and from a number of government agencies," said Mark Matthews, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Arista Power.

Arista Power's Renewable Power Station (RPS) and Mobile Renewable Power Station (MRPS) utilize energy generated from solar PV, wind, generators, fuel cells, and other energy-generating devices that are stored in an integrated onboard storage device for off-grid and remote applications.
