Governor McDonnell Announces Appointments to AdministrationJan 14, 2013 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Governor Bob McDonnell today announced two appointments to his administration's policy office. Further announcements regarding additional appointments in the McDonnell administration will continue to be made in the months ahead. Policy Office Generra Peck, Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs & Strategic Initiatives Generra Peck aids in the development of legislative strategy, helps develop the Governor's policy agenda and works to advance the Governor's legislative priorities. Generra conducts policy analysis related to education, entrepreneurship, technology, innovation and government reform. Since July 2011, Generra served the Governor's Policy Office as Special Assistant for Policy Development. Prior to her appointment to the Governor's Policy Office, Peck served in the Office of the Secretary of Commerce and Trade. In this role, Peck worked closely with the Secretariat's 13 agencies and managed a number of special projects. Peck served as staff to the Governor's Commission on Economic Development and Job Creation assigned to the Business Development and Recruitment and Energy Work Groups. Prior to her appointment, Peck served on the McDonnell for Governor campaign and on Governor McDonnell's transition team. Peck earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University Richmond. Annie K. Morris, Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs and Policy Development Annie Morris administers the legislative tracking system, coordinates all meetings and leads and develops special projects for the Governor's policy office. Annie Morris began serving the McDonnell Administration in 2011 as an intern and was later appointed as the Executive Assistant for Commerce and Trade. Previously, Annie worked as an intern for Congressman Todd Platts in Washington, DC. She earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Mary Washington.
