Medivo Partners with American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--

Medivo Inc., a health monitoring company for physicians and their patients, announced today that it has partnered with the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) to deliver high-value registry and quality-improvement services to AACE members and their patients with endocrinology-related conditions, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis and metabolism disorders, among others. Medivo services will be offered with AACE oversight to clinicians treating patients with these conditions.

Medivo currently provides health monitoring and care management services to tens of thousands of physicians and over 1 million patients. With the new partnership and Medivo's data analytics services, AACE will be well-positioned to conduct registry research, publish results that highlight ongoing improvements in endocrinology and identify gaps in care that need to be addressed.

"AACE is pleased to partner with Medivo in order to offer robust new benefits to AACE members and their patients," said AACE president Alan J. Garber, MD, Ph.D., FACE. "Providing Medivo's services free of charge to our members will provide opportunities for immediate and measurable improvements in care, as well as new research to guide best practices using aggregate data from leading endocrnology practices across the United States."

In addition, AACE will assist in enhancing Medivo's existing endocrinology platform and the research tools already developed by Medivo to help save and improve lives through faster access to quality health care. The collaborative effort also benefits patients, their families, and caregivers, by making it easier to access resources that provide condition updates and tools designed to help improve their health and quality of life.

"We at Medivo are excited by this opportunity to collaborate with AACE to build a foundation for helping all physicians who treat endocrinology disorders to provide higher quality care with clearer views on their patients' clinical datasets," said Medivo EVP and co-founder Destry Sulkes, MD, MBA. "The collaboration aligns with the goals of the Affordable Care Act and will help practices in their efforts to focus on preventive care."
