Dell introduces HD display in XPS 13 [Gadgets Special] [Times of India]

(Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Here's some good news for fans Dell XPS 13 ultrabooks. The ultra-thin notebook powered by Intel processor will now feature a display with HD resolution.

Dell XPS 13, showcased by the American manufacturer at CES 2012, originally launched with 1,366x768p display, which was panned by most critics. Now, the company will offer a variant with 1080p resolution by the end of January. Apple recently introduced Retina display in its 13- and 15-inch Macbooks, bestowing 2560x1600p and 2880x1800p resolutions upon the two models.

Pricing of the new Dell XPS 13 with higher resolution screens has not been announced yet.

Other features of the ultrabook remain same.

Dell XPS features a 13-inch screen, runs on Windows 7 and is powered by second generation Intel i5 and i7 processor options with 4GB RAM. Coming to memory, this ultrabook packs a 128GB solid state hard disk, but does not have a SD card slot. For connectivity, the notebook comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and two USB ports. It features a 1.3MP HD camera and six-cell battery that offers run time of over eight hours.
