OpenPeak's SECTOR™ App Wrapping and Partner Network Allow Developers to Expand Reach with Managed Versions of Business Apps

Designed to meet the growing mobile security challenges faced by businesses, SECTOR app wrapping enables developers and independent software vendors to tap into OpenPeak's post-development ecosystem to wrap applications for security, instead of building and testing entirely new, secure versions of their apps for each individual enterprise.

By adopting SECTOR to wrap applications for security and management, developers can reach a large and growing business market, and carriers can provide a universally accepted library of secure apps to their business customers. All wrapped apps share consistent mechanisms for authentication, authorization, accounting, and encryption of data in motion as well as data at rest. Additionally, data movement between personal, unmanaged apps and apps wrapped with SECTOR can be tightly controlled. All apps wrapped with SECTOR technology can be deployed and dynamically managed through a centralized administration portal. An enterprise IT administrator can define device, app, and data policies that are then deployed among groups of devices.

Once an app is wrapped with SECTOR technology, it can be managed and accessed by an IT administrator, who can make policy changes to the app, even after it's been deployed to the mobile device.
