Hospedia Introduces Partnership Programme for 2013

Jan 04, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Hospedia, a provider of bedside Point-of-Care systems in healthcare, has announced the launch of their new Partnership Programme.

The launch was marked by a customer and patient User Group event, followed by a reception at the House of Commons Terrace in November.

According to a release, the Partnership Programme aims to foster a more strategic relationship between Hospedia and hospitals using the range of services the company provides. With ongoing development of products such as Real-Time Patient Feedback, Electronic Meal Ordering and Bed Management, Hospedia have set up the Partnership Programme to provide a forum for users to share best practices, suggest improvements and new features and encourage peer level networking.

The User Group showcased a variety of work streams focusing on topics relevant both to clinicians and hospital management - from cost savings and efficiencies to CQUIN targets and staff engagement with IT. Users prompted discussions on how existing services can be utilised or improved to support key healthcare priorities. Attendees came from all regions of the UK, with representatives from East Cheshire, Broomfield, Southampton, Guys & St Thomas's, Bolton, Morecambe Bay and East Lancashire to name a few.

The evening reception provided an opportunity for hospital staff to network with peers, MPs and industry thought leaders. Hospedia set up a full demonstration suite in the Terrace, including a full size hospital bed. The evening was opened by Rt Hon Simon Burns MP who, in his recent role as Health Minister, witnessed firsthand the transition of Hospedia via Mid Essex Hospital Trust - his local hospital. He gave an engaging speech to the group highlighting the value Hospedia can provide by working closely with the NHS.

As well as Hospital Trust partners from the User Group, Hospedia also hosted a range of additional guests including representatives from The House of Lords, MPs, Department of Health, Number 10, the Patients Association, NHS Choices, Monitor and the Hospital Broadcasting Association.

Following the success of the launch, Hospedia will shortly announce detailed arrangements for regional Partnership Programme meetings across the UK, currently planned for May 2013.
