Procera Networks wins follow-on order from European multi-system operator

Dec 20, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Procera Networks, Inc. has received a follow-on $1.3 million order from a Tier 1 multi-system operator, or MSO, in Western Europe.

This operator serves broadband subscribers across its countrywide footprint as part of its residential triple play service offerings. This customer first installed Procera PacketLogic 10000 platforms in 2008 and with this order, is upgrading to the PacketLogic 20000 to avail the benefits of its throughput capacity, scalability and high availability features, the company said.

"This operator was one of Procera's first service provider customers and this order re-affirms their commitment to our solutions with the deployment of our latest technology," said Paul Gracie, vice president of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East (EMEA) at Procera.

"They have seen increasing usage in their broadband Internet services and decided to make network investments today that will continue to serve their needs into the future. Their key requirements, with all their experience factored in, included the need to scale and handle heavy traffic volumes in robust, high availability configurations to ensure that they are always gathering network intelligence. In the highly competitive market service providers are facing now, real-time detailed network analytics are crucial to optimizing their business models." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
