BRIEF: 'Azerkosmos' buys services for receiving images from other satellites


Dec 06, 2012 (Trend News Agency - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The Azerkosmos Company under the auspices of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry has announced a tender to purchase a universal ground station and services for receiving satellite images from other satellites, the tender commission said today.



The tender is being held on three lots, one of which involves the purchase of the station, the second -- the purchase of optical satellite services and the third -- a radar system with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).

The cost of participation for each lot is $1300. The documents required for participation in the tender are accepted till December 14, the bids and bank guarantees till January 31, 2013.


The work will be held at the head ground satellite control centre which is 28 km along the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh road. The work must be completed within one year after signing the final contract.
