Boy found hanging in Midland

MIDLAND A 9-year-old Midland boy's body was sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office after he was found hanging in a playground in Midland County, according to a Midland County Sheriff Office news release.
The release stated that deputies were dispatched at about 5:02 p.m. to the Airline Mobile Home Park, 7100 Airline Road, and found that an adult was at the scene performing CPR on the boy via instructions from a dispatcher.
The Midland Fire Department and EMS personnel arrived and transported the boy to Midland Memorial Hospital, according to the release, where he was pronounced dead on his arrival to the emergency room.
The boy's body was sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy, according to the release.
The boy was with other children playing at the playground on the southwest corner of the mobile home park, according to the release, when the younger children went to a residence, leaving the boy by himself.
According to the release, the children returned shortly later and found the boy hanging from a garden hose tied between two trees.
The children called an adult family member, who called 9-1-1 and performed CPR until emergency services arrived.
