Tokyo stocks open lower on fall in U.S. shares(Japan Economic Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TOKYO, Nov. 28 -- (Kyodo) _ Stocks fell back in early Tokyo trading Wednesday as investors locked in recent gains after U.S. shares lost ground overnight. At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 48.36 points, or 0.51 percent, at 9,374.94. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was off 3.94 points, or 0.50 percent, at 777.66.
