The already elaborate support for network and USB file playback on the high level Pioneer LX series AV receiver models SC-LX86, SC-LX76 and SC-LX56 will soon be further enhanced through the additional support of the AIFF and Apple Lossless codecs.
"We have learned through feedback from customers - many of them Apple users - that adding support for both AIFF and Apple Lossless was high on the wishlist. We are consequently very pleased to say that our engineers are currently in the process of finalising the update to enable this on our recently introduced SC-LX86, SC-LX76 and SC-LX56 AV receivers. The update will be made accessible to our customers at no charge." comments Philippe Coppens, Technology and Product Information Manager at Pioneer Europe.
Customers who install this optional update on their AV receiver will at the same time also be able to enjoy gapless playback, as an additional enhancement.
