Important feature enhancements for LX AV Receivers and Network Audio Players

We would like to inform you of two impending free firmware updates for selected Pioneer AV Receivers and Network Audio Players. These firmware updates contain important performance improvements relating to gapless playback and music file support expansion, adding support for Apple Lossless and AIFF files. For the Network Audio Player users there will also be an enhanced version of the Pioneer ControlApp.



The updates apply to the following models : AV receivers: - SC-LX86 - SC-LX76 - SC-LX56 Network Audio Players: - N-50 - N-30 SC-LX86, SC-LX76 and SC-LX56 AV receivers SC-LX86 SC-LX86 AV Receiver The already elaborate support for network and USB file playback on the high level Pioneer LX series AV receiver models SC-LX86, SC-LX76 and SC-LX56 will soon be further enhanced through the additional support of the AIFF and Apple Lossless codecs.

Customers who install this optional update on their AV receiver will at the same time also be able to enjoy gapless playback, as an additional enhancement.

N-50 and N-30 Network Audio Players N-50 N-50 Network Audio Player In a second stage, similar feature enhancements will be made available to Pioneer's acclaimed Network Audio Players, including the EISA award-winning N-50, and the N-30.

Enhancements also include support for the AIFF and Apple Lossless audio codecs, and gapless playback. In addition, these Network Audio Players will benefit from the release of a functionally enhanced version of the freely downloadable Pioneer ControlApp for iPod touch or iPhone. There will also be an equally enhanced version of Pioneer ControlApp dedicated for Android smartphones.

Availability and details: The AV Receiver firmware update will be available on the www.pioneer.eu website late December 2012. The Network Audio Player firmware update will be available in Spring 2013.
