Google Expanding Beyond Search With Mobile Assistant

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) November 22, 2012 Google has released it’s updated Google Now which is it’s version of Siri with a few modifications making it easier for mobile users to access Google’s search functionality. Samuel Junghenn founder of [Digital Marketing Agency Think Big Online says this should help drive mobile searches.

“Currently there are 690 million mobile searches conducted each day and this latest update to Google Now should actually help to increase that search volume. It makes it even more imperative that businesses owners start adopting a mobile first strategy in their business.” Said Mr Junghenn.

The latest update to Google Now has expanded the amount of search categories available to a user. A user can now see weather, flights, sports scores, stocks, traffic, public transportation, calendar reminders, hotels, local movies, language translation and currency rates to name just a few.

This is a major upgrade and seen by the industry as a major step forward in Google’s drive to evolve as a search company and also attract more users to their android platform.

“It will be interesting to see the effects of this latest update and how users react to changes.” Said Mr Junghenn.
