BRIEF: Helicopter hovers over Folsom Field as part of AT&T cell service upgrade

Nov 21, 2012 (Daily Camera - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A helicopter flew about the University of Colorado campus today to help with a project to bring better cell phone reception to Folsom Field for those who have AT&T service.

The project, paid for by the wireless company, was to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to university officials.

The helicopter was slated to land in lot 375 north of Franklin Field around 8 a.m. and then be used several times during the day to remove existing equipment from the roof of the stadium's skyboxes and lift new equipment into place.

The helicopter is being used because the the distance required for the maintenance project is too far for the reach of a crane, said Malinda Miller-Huey, spokeswoman for the university.
