JH Announces Microscope Donation Program(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Fremont, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2012 Students at a Grass Valley, CA high school are getting a close-up view of the wonders of science, thanks to a donation of more than a dozen microscopes by JH Technologies, a distributor of optical and digital imaging systems. The company recently delivered eight compound microscopes and five dissecting microscopes to the Advanced Placement biology program at Bear River High School in Northern California. JH Technologies CEO John Hubacz even provided a training session on proper microscope use to the class of 30 students. The gift is part of a new program called iFuSe (Inspire Future Scientific Exploration) that puts scientific instruments in the hands of children at an early age, opening their eyes to the possibility of careers in science, medicine and technology. JH Technologies is gathering new, used and broken microscopes the most widely-used tools for basic scientific study then repairing and delivering them at no cost to educational programs for kindergarten through high school. Funding is in short supply for educational programs to purchase microscopes and other equipment, especially in a tough economy. And Hubacz says exposing kids to science at an early age can spark an enthusiasm and love of learning that might otherwise never appear. “The excitement and energy that my own two children felt when they first used a microscope was absolutely enlightening for both of them, and me as well. They wanted to look at everything from bugs to rocks,” Hubacz said. “Their school continues to develop their interest and I am proud to say that JH Technologies has helped with donations of equipment and expertise.” The company is committed to iFuSe, and is seeking both educational institutions in need of microscopes and potential donors who have equipment that is unused, retired, or damaged. JH Technologies is offering trade-in credits toward the purchase of replacement equipment, depending on condition.
