Wheaton World Wide Moving | Bekins Van Lines Breaks Ground on 9,500 Square Foot Expansion

Indianapolis, Ind., Nov 19, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Wheaton World Wide Moving | Bekins Van Lines is breaking ground today on a 9,500-square-foot addition to its headquarters on Indianapolis' northeast side. The Castleton-based van line is the fourth largest household goods carrier in the country. The addition is the result of growth - revenue and personnel - after Wheaton Van Lines, Inc. acquired Bekins Van Lines in April 2012 and began hiring more than 33 people locally to accommodate the acquisition.

The addition is expected to be complete in spring 2013.

"It's incredibly exciting to watch the acquisition unfold and to see how it can positively affect our agents around the country as well as the local economy here in Indianapolis," said Mark Kirschner, chief executive officer. "Since April when the deal closed our building has been bursting at the seams." While Wheaton and Bekins will continue to operate as two separate brands, the two are tied together operationally to ensure the best service and highest efficiency for customers. The combined van line has more than 370 agents nationwide.
