Canvys to Feature Latest HP and Image Systems Products at RSNA 2012

LAFOX, Ill. --(Business Wire)--

Canvys®, a division of Richardson (News - Alert) Electronics and an HP Business Partner, will showcase custom solutions for medical imaging utilizing the latest HP workstation and mobile products, and Image Systems diagnostic and clinical displays at RSNA 2012 (North Building, Hall B, Booth 7907). A preview of the soon-to-be-released HP ElitePad 900 tablet will be available on select days.

"We are looking forward to the release of the ElitePad 900 tablet from HP. It has the full Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 8 operating system for maximum application compatibility, and it is differentiated from other tablets by the peripheral accessories available. Plug your tablet into a docking station tied to a calibrated Image Systems diagnostic display and you have mobility, security, and the highest image quality available," commented David Sorensen, Director of Operations/Healthcare for Canvys.

HP's latest "Z series" workstations (Z220, Z420, Z620, Z820) form the backbone of Canvys' custom PACS workstation solutions, with graphics, calibration, and performance optimized for medical imaging use. The HP 8770W 17" Mobile Workstation paired with CFS Calibration software provides workstation power in a mobile form factor. Canvys will further highlight HP products with a drawing for an HP ProBook 4440S laptop (stop by Canvys booth # 7907 to enter).

Canvy will feature the full line of Image Systems diagnostic and clinical displays in both Portrait and Wide-screen formats. Also showcased will be a new 21.5" monitor with a P-cap multi-finger touch screen, ideal for taking advantage of the new Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. It is available to hospitals as a navigation display for traditional PACS workstations, and to medical OEMS for integration as a control display for integration with various medical products.

CFS Calibration WebSuite software enables both clinical and diagnostic displays to be calibrated to the DICOM 3.14 standard and be monitored remotely via an intuitive web interface. Spottest (www.canvys.com/spottest) is a free browser-based "tap test" tool that enables cross-platform QC on any display device, fixed or mobile.
