Cabforce Partners With Travelport To Bring European Taxi Content To Travelport Universal Desktop

Phoenix, AZ, Nov 14, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Cabforce has partnered with the Travelport Developer Network, allowing Cabforce to bring European taxi pre-booking to the Travelport Universal Desktop. Through the partnership, corporate and leisure travel agencies can seamlessly use Cabforce in their workflow to offer customers unrivaled door-to-door service.

The ability to add important content, such as Cabforce's network of taxis, executive cars, and minibuses, demonstrates the power of the Travelport Universal Desktop. The integration is currently being piloted with selected agencies before going live and available to all Universal Desktop users in the first quarter of 2013.

Providing true door-to-door service has been previously impossible in Europe due to the fragmentation of taxi supply. Cabforce consolidates the market by partnering with certified local fleets and providing a unified ride experience with 24/7 customer service in 30+ cities across Europe.  Cabforce makes fast and reliable pre-booking possible because it has a technology platform unlike any other in the industry - its real time pricing platform determines the all inclusive rate for any trip at the time of booking.

"We are thrilled to be among the first to integrate with the cutting edge Universal Desktop. Travel agencies have long been seeking to offer customers a door-to-door product, and with Cabforce they can easily offer a complete managed travel experience," says Tommi Holmgren, Chief Product Officer at Cabforce.

"We work closely together with 3rd party developers who add value to our customers," said Pieter van der Voort, Director Partnership & Alliances EMEA, Travelport. "With the integration of Cabforce, Travelport customers will now be able to offer and book taxi and limo services to their customers within the normal workflow." About Cabforce (http://www.cabforce.com) Established in 2009 in Espoo, Finland, Cabforce's founders were fed up with unpredictable, unreliable taxi journeys while abroad and set about creating a network of certified cab providers with a flat-rate, upfront cost - minimizing bill shock and reliability concerns.

The service is available on the web, via a free iPhone app, and for partners through a newly launched Partner Program. Travelers can pre-book their taxis, pre-paying a fee that includes all taxes tolls and charges, online and in English. So customers can sit back and enjoy their trip; confident in the knowledge that their taxi will be there when they need it, and has been fully paid for in advance.
