National Geographic Channel Launches The "Ultimate Prep-over" Sweepstakes, Awarding One Grand Prize Winner With $5,000 in Preps and A Home Visit From Doomsday Preppers' Experts


WASHINGTON, Nov. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Sweepstakes Runs from Tues., Oct. 30 through Wed., Nov. 28, 2012, via Natgeotv.com and Doomsday Preppers Facebook Page Season Two of Doomsday Preppers Premieres Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 9 and 10 PM ET/PT; Airs Weekly Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on National Geographic Channel One lucky winner will literally receive a lifesaving grand prize when National Geographic Channel (NGC) launches the "Ultimate Prep-Over Sweepstakes," a multiplatform consumer contest featuring the grand prize of a home visit from Doomsday Preppers' experts Scott Hunt and David Kobler. Scott and Dave will pay a personal visit to the home of the winner of the "Ultimate Prep-Over Sweepstakes" to examine the residence, provide recommendations for surviving a catastrophic event and award more than $5,000 in preparation prizes.



From Tuesday, Oct. 30, to Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, fans can enter the "Ultimate Prep-Over Sweepstakes" on the Doomsday Preppers Web site or the Doomsday Preppers Facebook page at www.facebook.com/doomsdaypreppers. Facebook entrants will be asked to "Like" the Doomsday Preppers page. Entrants can also take an online quiz to test the entrant's knowledge of preparedness. At the end of the quiz, players will be given a "likely to survive score" for the end of the world and asked to enter the "Ultimate Prep-Over Sweepstakes." In addition to the grand prize, other winning rewards include four bug-out bags, filled to the brim with items needed to survive a disaster.

Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. ET on Oct. 30, 2012, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 28, 2012. Open only to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Estimated value of all prizes is $9,060.
