Tangoe rTEM Integrates with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Platform

Nov 09, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Tangoe, Inc., a global provider of Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and related services, announced that as a member of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) program, it has integrated its Tangoe rTEM solution with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) software, enabling customers to manage mobility security and costs in a single, centralized application dashboard.

"The integration of Tangoe rTEM with McAfee's ePO software enhances efficiency and reduces mobile costs for companies, streamlining business-wide mobility management into a single interface," said Dan Rudich, senior vice president of Tangoe rTEM business development. "The same dashboards that are used to monitor malicious attacks can now provide IT administrators with alerts for mobile roaming, data traffic spikes, or even out-of-area geo-fence usage. This integrated interface helps to ensure that alerts are not only viewed, but also addressed, in real-time. McAfee has conducted detailed compatibility testing on this integration to provide assurance of a seamless and effective integration for McAfee ePO software users." According to a release, Tangoe rTEM provides businesses of all sizes with centralized management of their aggregated telecom expenses in real-time, with streamlined reporting on mobile data usage, international roaming, usage anomalies, and asset location tracking. In addition to predicting and preventing potential telecom costs, companies can gain real-time visibility and control over their mobile assets. Using Tangoe rTEM, companies can project end-of-month costs before they are incurred.

McAfee ePO platform provides unified management of endpoint, network, and data security. It offers visibility and automation features that reduce incident response times, strengthen protection, and decrease the complexity of managing risk and security. McAfee ePO platform leverages data from McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management (McAfee EMM) software to provide administrators mobile device and app information in a single console with other enterprise endpoints. McAfee EMM software combines secure mobile application access, anti-malware, strong authentication, high availability, a scalable architecture, and compliance reporting in a seamless system.

The integration of Tangoe rTEM with McAfee ePO platform enables IT administrators to better manage mobility costs by correlating device location and usage with telecom expenses allowing them to take appropriate action, the companies said.

"Amid an increasingly complex mobile landscape that continues to make mobility management more challenging for organizations, we're delighted that Tangoe has taken advantage of our SIA partnership program," said Ed Barry, VP of Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. "McAfee is a leader in security management and Tangoe is a leader in communications cost management, so we are excited to combine forces and deliver enterprises a needed mobility solution that tightly integrates with their existing workflow."
