BRIEF: Crash victim in stable condition


Nov 06, 2012 (The Sentinel Echo - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. -- A Laurel County woman who was airlifted to the University of Kentucky following an accident on south U.S. 25 Thursday morning was listed in stable condition as of Friday evening.



Jamie Morgan, 32, had to be extricated by the London-Laurel Rescue Squad after her vehicle hit a van and a tanker before crashing into a guardrail.

The drivers of the van and truck were not injured.


Morgan, who was traveling toward London, crossed over into the southbound lane of traffic, hit the van and then bounced back into the truck.

The crash happened at approximately 10:40 a.m. about a mile from London.

The roadway was blocked for about three hours for clean up and removal of the vehicles.

Assisting Laurel County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Eddy Sizemore were the London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, Kentucky State Police, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, Lily Volunteer Fire Department, and Laurel County constables.
