BRIEF: Veterans and military job fair, fundraiser for homeless vets plannedNov 07, 2012 (The Providence Journal - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- WARWICK, R.I. -- A free "Hiring our Heroes" job fair for veterans and military members and their spouses will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Community College of Rhode Island, 400 East Ave. The fair is sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its Rhode Island affiliate, the state Department of Labor and Training, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and others. Another Veterans Day-related event, the Women Warriors lunch, will begin 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Quidnessett Country Club, North Kingstown.
