TM Forum Details Management World Americas [Travel & Leisure Close - Up]


(Travel & Leisure Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TM Forum announced its Catalyst program at Management World Americas brings to life solutions that focus on a range of industry issues including cyber security, cloud mobility, big data, mobile money, smart grid, eHealth and more.



According to a release, TM Forum's Catalyst program takes a unique approach to collaboration by providing the communications value chain a neutral environment to develop prototype solutions to some of the most urgent service management challenges today. At Management World Americas, held Dec. 3-6, at the Rosen Shingle Creek, in Orlando, Fla., service providers, international banks, top universities and large suppliers are all working together to demonstrate six digital services-focused Catalyst projects. These new Catalysts are part of TM Forum's Digital Services Initiative which helps companies focus on overcoming the challenges of managing complex digital services.

Management World Americas features the following Catalyst projects: Big Data: Customers, Partners and Mobile Money This Catalyst demonstrates proactive customer experience management and revenue management of partner settlement for a multi- partner video service, and shows how TM Forum's IPDR technology and big data analytics can be used to capture customer experience.

This Catalyst explores solutions to BYOD, including securing mobile devices across the enterprise, and enabling legacy applications on mobile devices.

Innovations for the Emerging Smart Grid Environment This Catalyst shows how TM Forum member companies are leveraging communications industry-centric investments and products in the utility domain, and how utilities might benefit from products and services.

-Champions: BT Group plc -Participants: BaseN; Synaptitude LTE and Mobile Money: Risk or Reward This Catalyst provides insight into how mobile money is a potential source of risk for fraud and revenue leakage, and covers strategies for mitigating these risks.
