WEMACOM Chooses Telco Systems and ITM for Multi-service MPLS Network
MANSFIELD, Mass. & AMSTERDAM --(Business Wire)--
Telco
Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC,TASE: BATM) and developer of CE2.0
compliant multi-service Carrier Ethernet access, MPLS and SDN solutions,
announced today that WEMACOM Telecommunication GmbH, a German major
regional utility and city carrier and subsidiary of WEMAG AG, has chosen
Telco Systems' (News - Alert) end-to-end MPLS-based solutions for its multi-service
fiber network deployments.
Telco Systems joined forces with ITM,
its certified partner and leading integrator of telecommunication
networks, to provide WEMACOM Telecommunication GmbH with a complete
networking solution. ITM has been providing advanced telecommunications,
IP technologies, and system integration solutions in Germany and Austria
to major telecom operators & service providers for over 25 years.
WEMACOM GmbH's network initially supported the power grid of its mother
company, becoming a regional and city carrier in 1999. WEMACOM offers
services in the northeastern part of Germany, where they offer leased
line services, DSL, wireless and phone services. Using Telco Systems'
solution, the company is planning to offer new innovative services, like
cloud-based services, smart grid backhaul services for consumers,
enterprise dedicated services and business services, as well as offering
services to other providers.
"WEMACOM Telecommunication GmbH chose Telco Systems and ITM over many
other major vendors as its MPLS to the edge solution allowed us to build
a true mesh network, and a resilient, flexible and scalable fiber-based
solution which will support WEMACOM's entire range of enterprise
services including E-Line, E-LAN and E-Tree, and will allow further
growth of the customer base" said Mr. Horst Richter, CEO from WEMACOM
Telecommunication GmbH.
Telco Systems offers Carrier Ethernet and MPLS-based T-Marc
demarcation and T-Metro
aggregation solutions designed to create end-to-end Carrier Ethernet
and MPLS managed, service-enable networks that are more intelligent,
self-healing and cost effective than typical Ethernet-only based
offerings. By helping carriers differentiate their services through
flexible bandwidth management and service assurance via robust
integrated OAM tools, the company's solutions enable operators to
rapidly deploy new business services with superior user experience and
assured SLA. End-to-end Ethernet/MPLS solutions combined with the
company's powerful service management system, EdgeGenie
lowers overall OPEX (News - Alert) and CAPEX to achieve a superior total cost of
ownership by accelerating network planning, deployment, and ongoing
management of new services.
"City carriers and utilities, as well as larger service providers, in
Europe need end-to-end scalable, resilient and cost effective networks
to succeed. Telco Systems' MPLS solutions combined with ITM expertise
offers providers in the region tools needed to support the explosive
bandwidth and services growth of their customer base" said Mr. Wolfgang
Matschke, VP Sales from ITM. "Telco Systems' end-to-end MPLS to the edge
solution, that includes demarcation, aggregation and EdgeGenie
service management solutions, offers service providers unique solutions
while allowing them to rapidly deliver new managed services with
guaranteed SLA, while future-proofing their network. "
"WEMACOM is leading the European evolution towards multi service
backhaul access networks. Their network is an example of how using MPLS
at the edge and access, combined with end-to-end service management,
enables regional providers to build a differentiated solution that
allows them to grow and offer new innovative services. This solution,
combined with ITM's system integration expertise, helps make WEMACOM's
offerings service-centric, and allows them to present their customers
with new levels of capacity, scalability and reliability" said Francois
Tournesac, VP Sales and Services EMEA for Telco Systems.
