Oct 14, 2012 (The Fayetteville Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- 'THE WALKING DEAD' The zombies are coming! The zombies are coming! The highly anticipated third season of "The Walking Dead" is back, just in time to amp up the scares for Halloween. After some shocking character eliminations last season, Rick and the survivors will continue to navigate a murky, dangerous post-apocalyptic world with lots of twists and turns. The third season opens in a prison eight months after the last season ended. Throughout the season, they'll encounter the Governor (played by British actor David Morrissey) in an idyllic hamlet called Woodbury, as well as the popular Michonne (Danai Gurira), and the cast promises in an AMC video that there will be plenty of violence, chaos and more shocking deaths. Amidst all the zombie action, you'll find Rick and his pregnant wife, Lori, struggling with their relationship. A marathon of Season 2 will air all day with the premiere at 9 p.m. "The Talking Dead," a live after-show, airs at 11 p.m. AMC 'COMIC BOOK MEN' This is the perfect companion series to "The Walking Dead," which originated in comic book form. This unscripted show is produced by Kevin Smith, aka King of the Comics. The action takes place at Smith's comic shop, where the employees make their living geeking out as fanboys. It sounds like fun. 11:30 pm. AMC 'THE FIRST GRADUATING CLASS' Oprah Winfrey has poured millions of dollars, as well as emotional capital, in helping young girls in South Africa get an education. This show follows the first graduating class of Oprah Academy students as they do what was once unthinkable: graduate and head off to college. 9 p.m. OWN ___ (c)2012 The Fayetteville Observer (Fayetteville, N.C.)
