Accenture works with Economic Development Board to open Analytics Innovation Center in SingaporeOct 12, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced the opening of its Analytics Innovation Center in Singapore in collaboration with the Economic Development Board . The centre will serve as an asset development lab and a research and innovation hub to deliver citizen-centric advanced analytics solutions for Accenture clients. The Accenture Analytics Innovation Center is supported by the EDB, whose role is to help enhance Singapore's position as a global hub for business and investment. The centre will focus on developing innovative approaches for the use of analytics in services related to education, health, procurement, public safety, resource utilization, smart grids, transportation and workforce effectiveness. The centre has been built to help Accenture clients in both the private and public sector generate real-time, actionable insights to drive more informed business decisions, improve their service delivery capabilities and deliver better services and outcomes for citizens. "Singapore is the ideal location for this new centre because of the alignment with the country's focus on pioneering advances in innovation, driving competitive advantage for growth, and maintaining a high level of citizen engagement," said Teo Lay Lim, managing director, Accenture Singapore and ASEAN. "Over the last thirty years, Accenture Singapore has contributed significantly towards transforming the way citizens live and work. The Analytics Innovation Center will showcase the expertise of Accenture data scientists whose mission is to help accelerate the development and usage of advanced analytics solutions. Specifically, the centre will drive the creation of an analytics knowledge base and related intellectual property in Singapore across a number of key areas including: Accenture's Network of Innovation centers are co-located with and leverage the skills and expertise at locations across the Accenture Global Delivery Network, Accenture Technology Labs and the Accenture Global Talent and Innovation Network. Other centers in the analytics network include locations in Bangalore, Barcelona, Chicago, Dublin, Mumbai, New Delhi and San Jose, California. Accenture was named a leader in business analytics IT consulting and systems integration services, according to an IDC MarketScape report on "Worldwide Business Analytics IT Consulting and Systems Integration Services 2012 Vendor Analysis."
