In August, the privately held Zayo Group said it planned to acquire the remaining 50 percent of Atlanta-based USCarrier. According to Zayo Group, the acquisition price comprised $2.3 million to retire USCarrier's debt. Seller of wholesale access to its fiber-optic network, Zayo purchased half of Atlanta-based USCarrier in October 2010, when it bought American Fiber Systems Holding Corp. of Rochester, N.Y.
