Mitek Files Patent Infringement Suit Against Top Image Systems(GlobeNewswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SAN DIEGO, Sept. 26, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitek Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:MITK) www.miteksystems.com, a leading mobile imaging software solutions provider, today announced that it has filed suit against Israeli-based Top Image Systems (Nasdaq:TISA) in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware for infringement of the following five patents of Mitek: U.S. Patent Nos. 7,778,457; 7,949,176; 7,953,268; 7,978,900; and 8,000,514. The Mitek patents being patents all generally relate to mobile image capture and processing using a smartphone or tablet. Mitek is seeking damages against Top Image Systems and injunctive relief to prevent Top Image Systems from selling its mobile imaging products, such as MobiCHECK.
