Zayo announces expansion of Agent sales channel portfolio

Sep 11, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Zayo Group, a provider of fiber-based bandwidth infrastructure and network-neutral colocation and interconnection services, has announced the expansion of products offered through the Agent sales channel to include colocation and interconnect services provided by zColo, its carrier-neutral colocation and interconnect-focused business.

zColo's product offerings include space, power, risers, and metro interconnect, zColo's newest product offering. Metro interconnect is a product that delivers in-market dark fiber cross-connects between major data centers and carrier hotels.

The Agent community will now have access to all of zColo's 20 carrier-neutral facilities in markets including the NY/NJ metro, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Memphis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Dallas and Seattle.

"Zayo is committed to the Agent program, and we believe selling zColo's product suite through this channel will be profitable for our channel partners and productive for Zayo," states Chris Morley, president of zColo. "Colocation and interconnection services are a natural extension of the Bandwidth Infrastructure products that they already sell." In support of zColo products for the Agent program, Zayo will be dedicating resources to support Agents and their customer relationships. Zayo will continue to utilize current master agents, but is also seeking new Agents with competency in colocation infrastructure services to focus on colocation and interconnect opportunities.
