4G LTE Chip Powers Coolpad Quattro 4G Smart Phone

(Mobile Development and Design Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Supported by MetroPCS U.S. networks, GCT Semiconductor’s GDM7240 4G LTE single-chip powers Coolpad’s Quattro 4G Android smart phone. The Quattro 4G phone utilizes MetroPCS’s 4G LTE network and includes features such as a 1-GHz dedicated Cortex A8 CPU, 4-in. WVGA display, music player, and audio enhancements like DTS Envelo. Coolpad’s reliance on GCT’s LTE chip is based on the device’s high level of performance and chip maturity. The GDM7240 has also been selected for commercial use in terminal devices deployed by the LTE operators in the U.S. and other markets worldwide.
