Allot Communications acquires Oversi Networks


Sep 04, 2012 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Allot Communications, Ltd. has acquired Oversi Networks, Ltd., a provider of rich-media caching and content delivery solutions for Internet video and peer-to-peer (P2P) traffic. Both the companies are based in Israel.

Allot Communications is a provider of service optimization and revenue generation solutions for fixed and mobile data networks.

Announcement (July 31, 2012): Allot Communications has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Oversi Networks.


Under the terms of the acquisition, Allot Communications will be paying $16 million in cash, as well as up to $5 million based on Oversi Networks performance during 2012.

Earlier, Oversi Networks had secured venture funding TempoPark Fund, Lab-One Innovations, Carmel Ventures, Smac partners GmbH and StageOne Ventures.

The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions, and is expected to close during the third quarter of 2012.

The acquisition further enhances Allot Communications vision to integrate the widest range of critical value-added services in its Allot Service Gateway. Allot now enables operators to implement comprehensive video strategies by integrating caching with a portfolio of video services including video optimization, analytics and tight integration with both policy and charging.
