Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $1.5M Order to Support Service Expansion in Asia-Pacific


Aug 21, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Tempe, Ariz.-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., was awarded a $1.5 million DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier bandwidth compression order from a telecommunications service provider in Asia-Pacific.



According to a release, the service provider will utilize the technology to facilitate a network expansion and to deliver new services to rural villages.

The Company said this service provider is upgrading fielded DMD50 Universal Satellite Modems with DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier. DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier, based on Raytheon Applied Signal Technology's patented "Adaptive Cancellation" technology, allows transmit and receive carriers of a duplex link to share the same transponder space.
