TeleCommunication Systems gets $2.7m order for satellite terminal sparesAug 03, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Secure mobile communication technology company TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSYS) said it has received funding of $2.7 million from the U.S. Army for AN/TSC-156 Phoenix Tactical Super-High-Frequency Satellite Terminal Spares. The U.S. Army project manager for the Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (PM WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program is funding this procurement through the Army's $5 billion world-wide satellite systems contract vehicle. "Satellite communications that are dependable and secure are an important part of modern operations for our military," said Michael Bristol, senior vice president and general manager of government solutions at TCS. "Through the innovative solutions that TCS offers, our fighting men and women have the advantages they need to accomplish their mission."
