Vidyo Names New Senior VP of Product Management


Jul 12, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Vidyo Inc., a video conferencing company, announced that Amir Shaked has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Product Management.

According to a release, in this capacity, Shaked is responsible for driving the product strategy and management of Vidyo's entire product portfolio. Shaked previously held positions as president, CEO and general manager in companies focused on video conferencing, new media, e-commerce, application acceleration and telecommunications applications.



Prior to joining Vidyo Shaked was with ComQi, a global multi-channel message management company, where he was responsible for the company's indirect sales and for building an ecosystem of partners to facilitate solutions for ComQi in North America.

At Press-sense, an e-commerce and business process automation software company, Shaked was President of the Americas, responsible for the company's global OEM relationship with Xerox, delivering 50 percent of the company's revenues. Before his tenure at Press-sense, Shaked was the CEO of DiskSites, an application acceleration company he sold to Expand Networks, and the founder and CEO of CeLight, an optical communications company where he raised $47M from investors including Goldman Sachs.


Previously, Shaked held the position of President of North America at Accord Video Telecommunications where he was instrumental in achieving a 10X ROI for investors, realized when Polycom acquired Accord for $350M in 2001. He led North America from pre-revenue to market leadership in the F500, state, federal and service provider markets, generating 80 percent of Accord's sales.

Prior to his tenure at Accord Video Telecom, Shaked founded the Americas' Carrier Messaging Division at Comverse Technologies. Before that, he ran product management for Comverse, delivering products whose lifecycle revenue exceeded $1B.
